A WWE writer has announced she was let go from the company today amidst layoffs.
Andrea Listenberger tweeted, “Lots of people getting let go at #WWE today and regrettably, I am one of them. But I’m proud of the work I’ve been able to do since starting in Dec., and glad that the storyline I worked on resonated with so many people. That’s what writing is about for me. #OtisandMandyForever.”
No word at this time on additional writers who may have been released.
As we previously reported … WWE furloughed multiple producers following an announcement regarding the company cutting costs due to the impact of COVID-19.
The company has also released close to twenty wrestlers at this time.
