Veteran WWE employee Sue Aitchison will be the recipient of the 2019 Warrior Award at this year’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

WWE announced Aitchison — who has been with the company for over 30 years — will receive the award, which was introduced in 2015 for those who have “exhibited unwavering strength and perseverance, and who lives life with the courage and compassion that embodies the indomitable spirit of the Ultimate Warrior.”

Aitchison is in charge of WWE’s community outreach programs, and her work includes a leading role developing the partnerships between WWE and nonprofits such as Make-A-Wish America.

This will be the first time WWE has presented the award to a behind the scenes employee, despite that being The Ultimate Warrior’s original intent for such an award when he pitched the idea during his 2014 Hall of Fame induction.

“It is an incredible privilege to present Sue with this year’s Warrior Award,” Ultimate Warrior’s widow Dana Warrior said. “My husband saw Sue’s efforts firsthand throughout his WWE career. She displays the Warrior spirit every single day and is an inspiration to us all.”

Sue joins D-Generation X, Honky Tonk Man, Torrie Wilson and Harlem Heat in this year’s class.
