WWE — Sued Over Brain Injuries by Jimmy Snuka and TONS of Other Wrestlers (UPDATED)

jimmy snuka sues wwe brain injures lawsuit road warrior animal wrestling wrestler

A ton of ex-WWE wrestlers have been listed as plaintiffs in a lawsuit claiming the company hid long-term effects of brain injuries from them — including Jimmy Snuka and Road Warrior Animal.

The list of names includes: Paul Orndorff, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Bryan Clark aka Adam Bomb, Ahmed Johnson, Kamala, Dave Hebner and Earl Hebner, King Kong Bundy, Ken Patera, Sabu, Ax and Smash, The Berzerker, Shane Douglas, Muhammad Hassan, Henry Godwin, Mark Jindrak, Marty Jannetty, Heidenreich, Mantaur, One Man Gang and the estate of Axl Rotten.

According to Bloomberg — who first reported the story — WWE is accused of failing to care for wrestlers’ repetitive head injuries “in any medically competent or meaningful manner.”

They’re also accused of misrepresenting and concealing the nature of long-term neurological injuries they suffered during their careers.

UPDATE: WWE has responded to the lawsuit … saying, “This is another ridiculous attempt by the same attorney who has previously filed class action lawsuits against WWE, both of which have been dismissed.  A federal judge has already found that this lawyer made patently false allegations about WWE, and this is more of the same.  We’re confident this lawsuit will suffer the same fate as his prior attempts and be dismissed.”

  1. Hey Ryan: I just wanted to tell you I know it’s from last month or whenever but I listen to you just now on The Brand with Vince Russo. You were a breath of fresh air because of your seeming dedication to finding the facts and I appreciate your background as a legitimate newsman. I have been similar to your Lifelong wrestling fan experience as far as with drifting in and out but always going back to the product but at least always reading the news. I hadn’t heard of your website yet but I did check it out and I like that it doesn’t have a lot I hadn’t heard of your website yet but I did check it out after listening to the podcast and it was a nice easy read and I can tell you I will be a regular visitor. I agreed with you what you said about most of these other sites as well. . Who the F charges for wrestling news?? Lol.

    • This site is good for unique stories, but sometimes it goes a day or two without any updates. The paid sites out there (there are only two in my opinion that are worth anything – those being the Wrestling Observer/F4W and PWInsider that have been around for ages now) have far more updates and general news and analysis and interviews with talent than this site. Not saying this site is bad, just saying it’s got a way to go before it can topple the best paid sites. That said, I only have three sites I go to for wrestling news now – the two mentioned above and Pro Wrestling Sheet.

  2. Snuka is a murderer. .fuck him

  3. Muhammad Hassan??? How long did that fool even last??? Something like a few weeks??? Not enough time to stub your toe…

  4. Funny how many of those names wrestled elsewhere long before joined WWE. Just sayin’…
