It’s official! WWE‘s first-ever all women’s pay-per-view called “Evolution” will take place in October.

Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported discussions were underway for the event earlier this month and Stephanie McMahon made it official on Monday Night Raw this week.

The show began with all the wrestler’s on the stage and Vince McMahon in the ring. He then introduced Stephanie and Triple H to make the announcement.

Triple H brought the women forward and began to tear up while talking about the women’s revolution.

Stephanie then took over and talked about women’s matches going from 30 seconds to the main event, before announcing the all women’s event to a huge reaction.

Michael Cole followed up with more details on commentary, confirming the event will take place at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island on October 28. The show will feature the Mae Young Classic finals and the Raw, Smackdown and NXT Women’s Championships will all be defended.

WWE’s press release says there will also be an NXT UK Women’s Championship defense.

Later in the show … Lita, Trish Stratus and Beth Phoenix were announced for Evolution as well.
