Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned two writers on the WWE creative team were recently let go.

According to sources, SmackDown co-lead writer Steve Guerreri and Steve Oppenheim who was the in-office lead writer for Raw at WWE headquarters made their exits last week.

Oppenheim had been with WWE since 2011 according to his LinkedIn, while Guerreri began working with WWE in 2012.

Sources tell us the decision was not made by Paul Heyman or Eric Bischoff, who are the new Executive Directors of Raw and SmackDown. Heyman has reportedly started working in his new position, while Bischoff says he'll attend his first WWE production meeting this week.

As we previously reported, both will still answer to Vince McMahon at this point.
