WWE has confirmed WrestleMania will no longer take place in Tampa Bay this year due to the coronavirus outbreak and will instead emanate from the Performance Center in Orlando.

The statement from WWE reads:

"In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania."

As we previously reported, Raw and NXT this week had already been moved to the Performance Center due to state regulations in an attempt to stop the spread of coronavirus and it appeared as though all shows would be held there for the foreseeable future.

City officials also went on record saying they'd be forced to cancel or postpone WrestleMania at Raymond James Stadium if WWE didn't make the decision to do so first.
