WWE has announced a change to WrestleMania's triple threat tag team ladder match for the SmackDown belts just hours before the show airs.
As announced by WWE's The Bump ... John Morrison will now defend the tag belts alone against Jimmy Uso and Kofi Kingston.
The storyline reason for his exit from the match was that he's unable to compete after the brawl on last night's edition of SmackDown. Miz was reportedly not included in the match, however, due to some kind of illness. As we previously reported, the WrestleMania matches were filmed in advance due to the coronavirus pandemic and strict testing was done to everyone entering the facility to make sure they were in perfect health.
WWE also confirmed two additional matches for the kickoff show this morning:
- Drew Gulak vs. Cesaro
- Liv Morgan vs. Natalya
The pre-show begins on WWE Network at 6pm ET/3pm PT.
