It’s been confirmed that WWE’s chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is next in line for the Bill Simmons documentary treatment.
In his first first financial earnings call as WWE’s new President & Chief Revenue Officer, Nick Khan announced that a multi-part documentary series about the life and times of Vincent Kennedy McMahon was currently in production for Netflix.
30 for 30 creator Bill Simmons — who also worked on HBO’s critically acclaimed Andre the Giant documentary — is an executive producer on the project, while Chris Smith, who directed Netflix’s Fyre Fest documentary will serve as a producer.
The series will allegedly have one of the biggest budgets of any documentary in Netflix history.
