The wrestling world is in mourning following the loss of Big Van Vader and tributes have been pouring in across social media to pay homage to the legendary wrestler.

Mick Foley, who took years of punishment from Vader in WCW, labeled the 63-year-old as wrestling's best big man and the most effective monster heel of his generation.  Foley went on to offer "heartfelt prayers to his loved ones, and my gratitude for having known him."

Harley Race -- who managed Vader to multiple WCW Championship runs -- tweeted saying he was sad to hear the news, adding "he was a great person to manage and a great human being."

Goldust sent his condolences revealing Vader was the godfather of his daughter Dakota.

One of Vader's final high-profile matches was a controversial victory over Will Ospreay in the United Kingdom. Opsreay tweeted, "may you finally be in peace. RIP Vader."
