WWE has unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming limited series “Undertaker: The Last Ride.”
Featuring interviews with the likes of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Edge, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and more, the project shows The Undertaker exhibiting as much vulnerability as ever before.
In discussing the merits of continuing his career in the trailer, The WWE legend says “I don’t want to stay too long and become a parody of myself.”
The series appears to culminate with ‘Taker’s Boneyard Match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. “I’m either going to go out with a match that’s fitting of The Undertaker at WrestleMania or I’m going out on my shield one way or another,” he says in the clip.
Chapter One of “Undertaker: The Last Ride” debuts Sunday night immediately following Money in the Bank on the WWE Network. The subsequent episodes will be made available on demand the next four Sundays beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
The description for episode one states:
In this Sunday’s premiere episode, Undertaker comes to terms with his own mortality as he prepares for what many believed to be the final match of his career against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33. Fans will get a rare glimpse into what led up to that moment, the pressure he puts on himself each year getting ready for WWE’s annual pop-culture extravaganza, and much more. In addition, the episode looks back at the physical and emotional toll taken on Undertaker after his 21-year WrestleMania undefeated streak came to a shocking conclusion against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30.
