On the latest episode of "The Last Ride," The Undertaker finally explains why he pulled out of last year's Starrcast II convention.

The wrestling legend says that after the D- Generation X vs. Taker/Kane match in Saudi Arabia, he realized his days in the ring were numbered and that he needed to start doing things he never did for the sake of the character.

He then began working with a social media group who was helping him get endorsements and other outside engagements.

"I had agreed to do an autograph signing in Las Vegas," he says in reference to Starrcast II. "It wasn't pitched to me that the other company had a show that was running right parallel to this autograph signing. I was oblivious. I wasn't even keeping up with what was going on, or anything like that."

As you'll recall, that Starrcast event ran the same weekend as AEW's "Double or Nothing." And while the two sides were not officially working together, there's no question both gained from the relationship as the convention gave fans more wrestling activities to partake in all weekend.

Undertaker goes on to say that after the appearance was announced he received a call from Vince McMahon who was not happy about the outside booking, because it made it look like "The Deadman" might be siding with a different promotion.

"I was like, 'That's stupid.' Anybody that knows anything about me knows that I'm not going to a different company," he continued. "I've been here forever. I ain't going anywhere. I'm not gonna jump ship to go to ... why would I?!"

"Vince and I had a little bit of a falling out over it and I understand where he was coming from. He's got a business to run and I understand his position, but I also had a position of my own that needed to be understood," Undertaker added. "We didn't talk for a little while and then we both let our guard down enough to talk. Then we got things worked out and it's all been sunshine and rainbows since."

Chapter 4 of "The Last Ride" is available now on WWE Network.
