Tony Khan has reiterated that the upcoming third hour of new AEW television content will have no effect on Dynamite's current runtime.

Speaking to Renee Paquette on the latest episode of Oral Sessions, Khan expressed his excitement about AEW's deal with WarnerMedia.

"I'm really excited about adding a third hour of television. That's going to be the most important thing for us," he said. "We've accumulated so much talent and depth and being able to showcase all of our great wrestlers."

Paquette then asked the AEW President if the third hour would be added on to Dynamite.

"It will not be a third hour of Dynamite and it will not be on Wednesday, but it will be a third hour with WarnerMedia and great exposure for us," he replied.

Khan went on to say that he has no desire to do three hours of Dynamite.

All Elite Wrestling and TNT announced their new deal back in January of 2020. They also confirmed that a new AEW show was in pre-production, but the COVID-19 pandemic appears to have hindered development.

“When Tony Khan first shared with me his idea of starting a new wrestling league, I was impressed by his audacity to go up against a contender that has been the only game in town for twenty years, and ultimately believed that together we could bring his vision for a new, authentic, gritty product to bear,” said Kevin Reilly, chief content officer for TNT, in the press release. “The fans have spoken and after only three months, we have seen AEW shake up the wrestling world and this will only continue as we build upon this momentum.”
