Ahead of tonight’s edition of NXT on USA Network, former champ Tommaso Ciampa was interviewed about his surprise return to Full Sail.
On the latest episode of WWE’s new show “The Bump,” Ciampa reiterated his desire to reclaim the NXT Championship now that he’s been cleared for action.
“I think I made it pretty clear on Wednesday what I’m coming back for, and that’s Goldie,” Ciampa stated with confidence.
“I woke up symptom free from surgery and that’s a big sign for recovery. When I woke up that first day in the hospital I had feeling back in both my hands. No numbness, no tingling, no burning sensation,” The Blackheart said, adding that he was back in training and feeling good.
Ciampa also mentioned that WWE Hall Of Famer Edge and WWE producer Steve Corino both reached out to him with words of encouragement while he recovered from surgery.
As we previously reported, Ciampa was forced to relinquish the NXT Championship (a.k.a., Goldie) after undergoing anterior cervical fusion surgery back in March.
Check out The Bump below. Ciampa’s call-in begins around 19 minutes in.
