Titus O'Neil is not taking Batista's advice and quitting the WWE over his suspension ... the wrestler says he's taking full responsibility for his actions during Daniel Bryan's retirement ceremony.

O'Neil told RapZilla.com that he accepts the punishment handed down to him and explains, "I made a mistake at an inopportune time. Regardless if it was too harsh or overreacting or whatever people have deemed it, it all stems from my mistake. Whether I agree with it or not, I am owning it."

As we previously reported, Titus O'Neil grabbed Vince McMahon's arm after the ceremony to allow Stephanie to walk to the back first -- and said, "Ladies first." He was suspended for 60 days.

Batista told TMZ last month that he advised Titus to quit over the punishment. O'Neil says that even though he agreed with the suggestion, he's never quit anything in his life and doesn't plan to start.

Titus noted, however, that he does plan on leaving WWE when his current deal expires.
