The Rock Shares Images From Upcoming TV Series

The Rock just shared some images from the set of his upcoming sitcom “Young Rock” … and it looks like he made some good casting decisions.

The biographical show is inspired by The Rock’s early years and will tell the story of a kid who grows up in the wrestling business … obviously.

The Rock took to Instagram to share the behind-the-scenes photos which feature the child actor portraying his younger self, as well as the actors who will be playing his parents, Andre the Giant, The Iron Sheik, and Junkyard Dog.

“Mini me on set of YOUNG ROCK with the originator of the word, “Jabroni” — the one and the only, THE IRON SHEIK played by [Brett Azar],” Rock captioned an image from the set.

“Sheik has been a very close family friend since I was born. As a matter of fact, his wife used to baby sit my little bad ass when I was a kid,” he continued.

Production began on the NBC series in Queensland, Australia earlier this month. The Rock is set to appear in each episode, and is also serving as a producer alongside Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, Jennifer Carreras, and former WWE writer Brian Gewirtz.
