The biggest party of the summer is upon us -- therefore it's time for some SummerSlam predictions!

As always when it comes to SummerSlam, I will take this as an opportunity to remind everyone that the 2015 theme song destroyed every other theme song for a pay-per-view ever. That my friends was Demi Lovato’s “Cool For The Summer.” My apologies to Flo Rida.

Everyone ready to dive into a SIX HOUR PLUS SHOW?

Buckle up.

The Cricket Wireless TWO HOUR SummerSlam Pre-Show

Raw Tag Team Championship

The B-Team (C) vs The Revival

God how I wish this match were under better circumstances. The B-Team have been absolutely killing it promo-wise, but the new theme song makes them feel like more of an afterthought joke than anything else. The Revival have been steady at making a run for the titles, but I heavily doubt they pull the trigger on The Revival becoming champs on the pre-show. It just feels so weirdly anti-climatic for a storyline that has actually been meaning a lot more.

Educated Guess: The B-Team

Rusev & Lana vs Andrade “Cien” Almas & Zelina Vega

I AM SO TORN. It's really hard to root against Rusev right now, but there is an obvious angle they are trying to setup with Aiden English that makes it difficult.

The new kids on the block in Almas and Vega need a bit more time establishing themselves as major players on the main roster and a big win over Rusev/Lana would help with that on Smackdown.

El Idolo takes another one.

Educated Guess: Andrade “Cien” Almas & Zelina Vega

Cruiserweight Championship

Cedric Alexander (C) vs Drew Gulak

Why is this one so hard to actually put down? Don't get me wrong, I adore Cedric as champion. He has been more than competent with the title, matches have been superb and has just been quality overall. There has just been something oddly missing about his character. There's no killer instinct with it. Gulak as of late has shown to be an effective heel character to Cedric’s good guy persona and something tells me at SummerSlam creative will try to pull one over on us real early. Break out the Powerpoint presentations.

Educated Guess: Drew Gulak

Main Card

Finn Balor vs Baron Corbin

“Hello darkness my old friend…..”

So, we are here again. I am honestly trying to figure out a reason they want to rehash this again and I am not coming up with much. Baron and Finn are facing up one more match (hopefully for the last time) and there isn’t much to say besides I hope this feud ends here as its doing neither of them any favors. Balor for the win because honestly he needs it more heading out of this. Didn't Balor win the Universal Championship two years ago at SummerSlam?

Damn.

Educated Guess: Finn Balor

Smackdown Tag Team Championship

Bludgeon Brothers (C) vs The New Day

So, first things first - New Day have been on FIRE recently. Matches, promos, everything - just have been consistently nailing it for the past few months. Now for the bad news, they immediately face the traveling angry brigade known as the Bludgeon Brothers who have been mowing teams down week after week. The New Day are going to put up a good fight, but its not going to be enough. Curious what team at this point WWE is going to allow to start making the brothers look weak.

Educated Guess: Bludgeon Brothers

United States Championship

Shinsuke Nakamura (C) vs Jeff Hardy

There honestly isn’t much to say about this one besides the fact that Randy Orton isn’t on the card. Jeff Hardy’s personal nightmare assistant as of late has been abusing him every chance he can get and I am fully assuming this match isn’t any different. Expect Orton to play the spoiler once again.

Educated Guess: Shinsuke Nakamura

Money In The Bank Briefcase Match

Braun Strowman (Holder) vs Kevin Owens

A few Educated Guesses ago I guessed that Owens would win Money In The Bank -- if only because Owens holding that case is a writer's dream. Strowman handcuffs you to only so many storylines and to be truthfully honest they’re all kinda meh in my opinion. Owens holding the case is infinitely more interesting and provides the writing staff a little more leeway with how they can examine the Owens character. I personally think they try to right the course and make up for lost time.

Owens somehow pulls this off.

Educated Guess: Kevin Owens

The Miz vs Daniel Bryan

Here is the only timeline that is playing in my head over and over again.

Miz beats Bryan at Summerslam.

Miz wins championship at Rumble.

Bryan wins Royal Rumble.

Miz vs Bryan main event WrestleMania 35 for the WWE Championship.

A boy can dream.

Educated Guess: The Miz

Smackdown Women’s Championship

Carmella (C) vs Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair

Honestly this is the most confused I am with any of the card. If you asked me two weeks ago, it was 100% Becky and there was no changing my mind. Now, I am not so sure.

The only thing I am pretty sure of now is that Becky does not walk away with the championship. Charlotte and Carmella both are in the fold - but given Becky’s new calloused outlook of never getting a fair shake, it really is the one real storyline coming out of the match.

Sadly, I think the Carmella experiment is over for the time being.

For this one, I have to go with the queen.

Educated Guess: Charlotte Flair

Intercontinental Championship

Dolph Ziggler (C) vs Seth Rollins

Ahhhh, the new x factor arrives just in time for this matchup. Fresh off a nine month injury leave, Dean Ambrose has returned to back up his friend Seth (and look swole as hell). Nothing in WWE is ever really what it seems though and everyone is chatting about “IS DEAN GOING TO TURN HEEL?”.

I would be guessing yes.

They were trying to get there storyline wise before he left and this is a super natural way to do it. Plus, it gives you an excuse to keep the championship on Dolph longer.

Educated Guess: Dolph Ziggler

WWE Championship

AJ Styles (C) vs Samoa Joe

Do we really need to go into this one heavy? WWE accidentally leaked the match graphic for Hell In A Cell showing Joe vs AJ (with a still champion Styles) and there is absolutely no reason to think it won’t get there. That said, I think this one produces more of a storyline of AJ being pushed to the edge by an increasingly erratic Joe. Champions advantage folks, if the champion gets DQ'ed he holds only the championship. Don't talk about AJ's wife.

Educated Guess: Samoa Joe (by disqualification)

Raw Women’s Championship

Alexa Bliss (C) vs Ronda Rousey

So, with WWE’s Evolution on the horizon the big question is does Ronda head into this as champion?

My answer to this is yes.

You get the maximum coverage by having Ronda Rousey as your champion heading into the biggest womens event you have EVER produced. It's not rocket science, that's just good business. Ronda doesn’t need to hold it long, and it can be something simple for sure - but I am fully expecting Ronda to get the nod.

Educated Guess: Ronda Rousey

Universal Championship

Brock Lesnar (C) vs Roman Reigns

Ah yes, the main event. This match went from zero interest to interesting in a hurry when should-be emmy nominee Paul Heyman pepper sprayed Roman Reigns on RAW this past week. At this point should they even take the title off Lesnar? Honestly - I dont want them too.

Think about it, we’ve gone through the seven stages of acceptance with Reigns and are FINALLY at the acceptance part. Most fans have talked themselves into “well - at least the championship will be back on Raw” and are at the very least, borderline ok with Reigns winning. It would be absolutely hysterical if Lesnar kept the championship.

Just keep the train rolling honestly. This is the most interesting Lesnar has been in years.

Educated Guess: Brock Lesnar
