Wrestling legend Sting says he wants to get back into the ring again for another match -- even though he was injured Sunday at WWE Night of Champions.

Sting finally set the record straight about his recent injury with WWE.com ... admitting he was a unconscious while getting a CAT scan and MRI at the hospital -- but heard the doctor mention something about him having cervical spinal stenosis.

Sting adds, "but that’s only part of what I heard. I don’t know if there’s anything else. The doctor did tell my wife, 'He’s going to have to get this dealt with. He’s lucky he walked out of there.'"

The wrestler says he believes the injury was caused by the two times he flew into the turnbuckle ... but Sting is adamant about the blame being on him -- not Seth Rollins.

Sting continues, "He (Rollins) poked his head in the ambulance and said, 'Man, I’m so sorry. I don’t know what happened.' I said, 'Seth, don’t worry about it. It’s not your fault.' And he, for 15 minutes, he said, 'I just wanted to tell you what an honor it was, what a pleasure."

When asked if he plans to get back into the ring again -- the 56 year-old wrestler said, "Hmmm, in the right scenario … in the right scenario, yeah."
