Smackdown Live star Sin Cara is on the shelf after surgery to repair an injured knee.

There had been speculation that the masked superstar might be injured. It was confirmed via Twitter on Tuesday.

The WWE wrestler posted a pic with Dr. Jeffrey R. Dugas who works at the Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham.

Though he didn't go into details on the procedure or how long he might be out, Sin Cara tweeted, "the body is wise and tells you when to stop. But he also has memory and knows when to return."

Just like you'd expect from a traditional luchador, he was wearing his wrestling mask while donning a medical gown in a photo taken before the procedure.

Sin Cara was last on your television screen in a feud with Andrade "Cien" Almas.

We wish him a speedy recovery!
