Samoa Joe Injury Update, Should Return by November

Samoa Joe has been out of action dealing with injuries since SummerSlam … but The Samoan Submission Machine says he hopes to be back in the ring by November.

Joe confirmed that he tore his meniscus during the main event of SummerSlam in a recent interview with SkySports, but admitted that the time off for recovery was needed.

“The recovery’s going really well but I’ve only been able to perform at about 80 percent capacity since joining NXT.” Joe continued, “Back then I had no chance to take time off because of the WWE opportunity, before I was just treating the knee problem with ice and elevation at home. Now it’s the best I’ve ever felt, it really is.”

Joe confirmed that he also got nasal surgery and had only been breathing “around 60 percent.”

While Joe was not able to pinpoint when he would be back exactly, he said he was just waiting on clearance and expects to be back in time for the next UK tour in November.
