The greatest wrestler of all-time debate is a hotly contested subject, but former WWE star Rusev says he believes Chris Jericho is near the top of the list.

During a recent Twitch stream, the former Bulgarian Brute heaped praise on the first AEW Champion for his accolades throughout the years in wrestling.

"He has to be considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers ever. If not, I mean, I don't want to say if not the greatest, because ... " Rusev said before trailing off. "But just thinking about it. From where he has come to where he's been. Through all the companies and being champion everywhere that he goes. And how many times he reinvented himself too. Chris is definitely one of the greatest of all-time."

When a fan asked his opinion on Shawn Michaels, Rusev said "I'll take Chris before HBK, I'm sorry. Chris is still doing it, man. Chris is still doing it."

Though he said the two men never had a match during their time together in WWE, he pointed to Jericho's support when Rusev called for a meeting with Vince McMahon regarding a disagreement over some of Jericho's scripted dialogue during a "Highlight Reel" segment in 2014.

"Chris was such a great leader. I'm sure he is now in AEW," Rusev added. "He's a great leader. You can always talk to him. He will always give you advice."
