The movie about Paige‘s life called “Fighting with My Family” was screened for the first time this week and a source tells us the film “still needs work,” but wasn’t bad.
FWMF was screened at the Arclight theater in Sherman Oaks on Wednesday and attendees were told beforehand that this was the first time anyone who didn’t work on the movie would be seeing it.
As expected, the film tracks her beginnings in England, path to NXT and Divas Championship win.
We’re told Executive Producer The Rock makes a few appearances at various points in the film to drop some of his famous one-liners to Paige backstage at live events.
One source says the acting was solid and the ending was emotional, but the full movie was pretty paint-by-numbers and could’ve been pieced together from press releases and IMDB.
A release date for “Fighting With My Family” has yet to be announced.
