Roppongi's favorite wrestler Rocky Romero will be staying with NJPW for the foreseeable future, as he's now signed a new deal with the company.

"Happy to say I came to terms with [NJPW] for a multi-year deal," Romero tweeted on Monday.

Rocky's signing comes on the heels of Kushida announcing his NJPW departure on Sunday and Kenny Omega confirming he's taking time away from the company.

Additionally, Suzuki-gun member Takashi Iizuka will retire from in-ring competition next month following a ceremony on February 21 at Korakuen Hall. The wrestler competed in his first match for the company in November of 1986 after training at the NJPW dojo.
