As reported on WWE Backstage this evening by Editor-in-Chief Ryan Satin, former NFL player Rob Gronkowski is close to finalizing a deal of some sort with WWE.
While the capacity in which he’d be used is unclear at this time, sources say Gronk could be making an appearance in WWE as early as March 20th on Friday Night SmackDown in New Orleans.
This obviously wouldn’t be the first time Rob has brushed paths with WWE. As you’ll recall, Gronk helped Mojo Rawley win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
Since then, he’s talked about wanting to do more with the company and was most recently photographed hanging out with Triple H/Stephanie McMahon during Super Bowl weekend.
