Ric Flair has not been at Raw since his wife Wendy tested positive for COVID-19, but “The Nature Boy” says he’s pushing for the company to still let him manage Randy Orton at SummerSlam.

In a new interview with TV Insider, Flair talked about how the relationship between he and Orton is a real-life story since he’s watched Randy grow from an early age.

Ric had been acting as Randy’s manager on TV until Flair’s wife (who he lives with) tested positive for COVID-19. Flair has denied testing positive himself.

The wrestling legend ends the interview saying: “I’m trying to get me to manage Randy against [Drew] McIntyre [at SummerSlam]. I don’t know. I haven’t heard back, but it’s not because I’m not trying.”

McIntyre is set to defend the WWE Championship against Orton at SummerSlam on August 23.
