"The Viper" may have wrestled in a tag match at tonight's SmackDown live event ... but Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Randy Orton didn't take one bump in the match.

Orton appeared at the Fairfax, Virginia event to team with John Cena -- in a match against The Wyatt Family -- despite being kept from wrestling at Backlash due to the concussion he sustained.

As we previously reported ... Randy sustained the head injury during his encounter with Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, the one where he was repeatedly elbowed in the dome, and WWE wrote him out of his match last night against Bray Wyatt to err on the side of caution.

According to the Chad Dukes Wrestling Show, who were in attendance at tonight's event, the match was short and Orton wasn't hit with one punch. Nor did he take any bumps. And after receiving a hot tag, Randy hit the RKO for the finish -- similar to his involvement at the Smackdown PPV.
