Wrestling legend Pedro Morales has passed at away at the age of 76.

WWE.com confirmed Morales' passing on Tuesday. The former wrestler had reportedly been battling Parkinsons Disease in recent years.

Pedro was the company's first ever "Triple Crown” Champion, having captured the WWWF World Heavyweight Championship, the WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship, and the the WWF Tag Team Championship (with Bob Backlund) throughout his career.

He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1995.

Morales retired from in-ring action in 1987, but continued to work in the wrestling industry as a Spanish-language commentator for both WCW and WWE.

In the wake of his passing, tributes to Morales began to pour in on social media.

"Pedro Morales was a great man & I'm honored to be able to say I knew him," Sean Waltman tweeted.

"RIP Pedro Morales. He was a staple on the old Boston Garden WWF shows I went to in the 80s," wrote Gabe Sapolsky. "Thanks for the memories."

"Growing up a WWF fan, he was my IC Champ and as fiery a babyface as any," said Bully Ray, while Frankie Kazarian told his followers he once "saw Pedro wrestling Bob Orton and was captivated."
