For the first time since WWE began filming their shows at the Performance Center during the pandemic, NXT wrestlers will be used tonight as a makeshift audience.

Fightful Select first reported the news this afternoon. We've since confirmed their report with sources. We're told the crowd members from NXT will be socially distanced from each other and used to help enhance the production/atmosphere of the show.

WWE will be filming two episodes of Raw today – one airing tonight and the other airing next week – as well as two episodes of SmackDown tomorrow and two episodes of NXT the following day.

This is similar to the audience strategy being used during the pandemic by AEW, who also started testing for COVID-19 prior to entry into Daily's Place this month.

It's unclear if the NXT wrestlers being used in the crowd will be shown on camera.
