Nigel McGuinness is returning to the commentary desk for the upcoming NXT UK tapings.
McGuinness had reportedly been furloughed in April amidst the widespread layoffs, but his exit had never been confirmed. Now, he’ll be back on the headset … but virtually.
During a tour today of NXT UK’s new setup inside of BT Sport studios in London … Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT noted that the commentary team was confirmed to be Andy Shepherd, who will commentate at the tapings from a booth, and Nigel McGuinness joining him digitally from America.
As seen in the video below, Shawn Michaels will also lead the tapings digitally from the U.S. at the gorilla position behind the scenes.
