The Motor City Machine Guns made their Impact Wrestling return tonight at Slammiversary.

The show began with Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier entering the ring for their previously announced open challenge. Their challengers were then announced and the music of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin hit.

Sabin had previously been teasing an appearance at Slammiversary. Shelley played more coy about things, tweeting, "The past year of my career has been one of my absolute favorite, and it’s been because of my autonomy, my freedom, and the respect I get and give to and from my peers and fans."

MCMG's last Impact match took place in 2012.

The match ended with Sabin getting the pin over Dezmond Xavier after a double team move.
