Lucha Underground co-creator Chris DeJoseph has joined MLW in a behind the scenes position.

Sports Illustrated reports DeJoseph's first day as co-Executive Producer will be this Saturday at MLW's SuperFight pay-per-view.

“Since the last season of Lucha Underground, I’ve had an itch to get back in the game,” DeJoseph told the publication. “I’ve been watching what they’ve been doing and the steps they are taking to keep building, and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty with MLW.”

DeJoseph's resumé features 17-years of experience in the business, including 6 years on the WWE creative team. He also worked on Lucha Underground as an Executive Producer throughout its run.

“So much has sprouted from the alternative universe of Lucha Underground,” DeJoseph added. “The wrestling world is exploding right now, and I’m looking forward to riding that wave.”

This would seem to signal the end of Lucha Underground. It's been almost one year since the finale aired and there's been no update on a possible Season 5. Since the finale aired, many wrestlers have taken legal action to get out of their contracts.
