AEW generated a ton of buzz after announcing Mike Tyson would be presenting the TNT title this Saturday at "Double or Nothing," and it turns out he was a late addition to the festivities.

Cody Rhodes confirmed this during a conference call with the media on Thursday where he explained the relationship with Tyson began after he attended last year's "Double or Nothing" in Las Vegas.

"Over the course of the year, we've really come to respect him as a fan of what we do. He's a hardcore AEW fan," Rhodes explained. "I would say, though, that's one of the last touches that was put on 'Double or Nothing.' In terms of who will be the one to present the champion, someone with an element of prestige. That's what Mike is there to do Saturday night."

When he does present the belt, Tyson will either be handing it off to Cody or his opponent, Lance Archer. "Hopefully he'll be handing it to me," Cody said. "But he is there to hand the championship to Lance or myself and it's been fun to get to know Mike over the past year."

"Double or Nothing" goes down this Saturday, May 23rd from Daily's Place in Jacksonville.
