Broken Matt Hardy made his first appearance on Dynamite last night after leaving WWE, and now he's commented on how he feels joining AEW.

In case you missed it ... Matt surprised fans at the end of last night's show by debuting in the company as Team Elite's replacement for Nick Jackson at Blood and Guts.

On Thursday, Cody Rhodes tweeted welcoming Hardy to the company.

"Thank you," Matt replied. "I am very honored & proud to join [AEW], a company that takes great pride in listening & respecting their loyal audience. Excited to CHANGE THE WORLD with you."

As we previously reported, Hardy announced earlier this month that his WWE contract had expired and he was exploring his options.

“The reason I needed to leave WWE is because when it comes to my creative stance – and my creative outlook on myself and my career and how I want it to go for these last 3 or 4 years that I have to spend as an active in-ring competitor – I just think myself and WWE are on different pages," Matt said in a video.  "I want to enter a creative renaissance. I am not, obviously, 25 or 30-years-old. I am 45-years-old and I have to be utilized in a certain way. But I still know in my heart, I know I have so much to offer this business. I have so much entertainment left inside this vessel."
