5-time Impact Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne is making the jump to WWE — as she’s now been confirmed as a competitor in the upcoming Mae Young Classic.
Rayne — who WWE listed as Ashley Rayne — has been a mainstay with Impact Wrestling over the last decade or so. The release from WWE noted her feud with Mickie James and put over her Cross Rayne finishing move.
Madison last competed for Impact at Slammiversary XVI in a losing effort against Su Yung.
“You guys! We’re going to the Mae Young Classic,” Rayne tweeted in response to the announcement. “Honored and thrilled are both huge understatements!”
WWE also announced Priscilla Kelly and 19-year-old Xia Brookside — the daughter of PC trainer Robbie Brookside — have also been added to the field of competitors.
The 32-woman tournament will tape next month in Orlando and the finals will be held at WWE’s first all-women’s pay-per-view Evolution on Oct. 28.
