Jon Moxley relinquished the IWGP US title last night due to travel issues related to Typhoon Hagibis ... and it lead to Lance Archer becoming the new champ.

The match came about after NJPW revealed Moxley was unable to make it to the their King of Pro-Wrestling event, therefore the US belt was declared vacant and Lance Archer would take his place in the title match against Juice Robinson.

Archer was ultimately victorious following a brutal battle that saw him him finish the match by smashing Juice's head into a stack of chairs, then locking in the EBD Claw to get the pinfall victory.

After the match was over, Lance continued to beatdown his opponent. This prompted the return of David Finlay, who had been out of action with a shoulder injury. Finlay attacked Archer and landed an Acid Drop causing the new US champ to retreat.
