WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has shared a tantalizing video on social media in which he appears to tease a return to the squared circle.

In the video -- which was shared on Twitter on Saturday morning -- Kurt can be seen lacing up his boots and donning his ring gear. The 45-second video ends with a "to be continued" message.

Angle hasn't competed in the ring since WrestleMania 35 in 2019. In what was billed as his retirement match, the Olympic gold medalist lost to Baron Corbin.

Following his retirement match, Kurt was given a backstage producer role with WWE.

“I’m going to help the wrestlers with their technique,” Angle explained in an interview with WrestlingInc back in 2019. “I’m going to help them structure their matches. It’s something I’m very good at and I thought I’d be able to contribute to the company.”

In that same interview, Kurt made it clear that he has no intention of wrestling again.

On April 15, 2020, Angle was released by WWE as part of budget cuts initiated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kurt's video will no doubt lead to speculation that the 52-year-old is AEW acquisition teased by Paul Wight on Wednesday's edition of Dynamite.
