AEW Executive Vice President Kenny Omega has opened up about a potential partnership between his company and WWE.
In a recent interview with talkSPORT, Omega said that he’d be willing to facilitate a partnership between the two companies if he thought it would make fans happy.
As we previously reported, Triple H recently claimed that WWE was “open for business” when it comes to doing business with rival promotions — A sentiment that Kenny responded to with optimism in his talkSPORT interview.
“But from when I did speak at length with Triple H, it really felt like he understood a lot of my thought process and not only was I looking to unite and unify the world of professional wrestling and all of that, but he definitely got it,” the AEW Champion said, referring to conversations he had with Triple H when WWE were interested in Kenny’s services.
Kenny said that he thinks Triple H and himself are on the same page in that they want to do what’s best for the fans.
“We want to make this a fun thing for everyone and if that includes working with literally everyone, which I think would make everyone happy, then I’m all for it and I would lobby very hard for it, fight tooth and nail to make it happen,” he said.
AEW is currently involved in a three-way inter-promotional partnership with IMPACT and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
