Kendo Kashin Joins WWE as Performance Center Coach

kendo kashin wwe performance center coach signs sign contract deal

WWE has hired Japanese wrestling veteran Kendo Kashin as a Performance Center coach.

The decorated junior heavyweight’s signing was announced Wednesday by WWE.com.

Kashin, real name Tokimitsu Ishizawa, was invited to be a guest coach at the Performance Center back in February. Finn Balor shared a photo of the two at the facility at the time and noted how Kendo was his first coach in Japan.

For those who are unfamiliar, the 51-year-old was a champion in both New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Japan Pro Wrestling. He’s also competed in ROH, as well as the now defunct-MMA promotion PRIDE Fighting Championship.

As we previously reported, Kendo Kashin isn’t the only PC signing announced today. WWE also confirmed the latest batch of wrestlers who’ve reported for duty at the Performance Center — including Austin Theory and Santana Garrett.
