John Cena’s appearances in WWE have been getting more sporadic recently … which lead him to addressing retirement rumors last night during Raw Talk.
Jerry Lawler asked Cena during the post-No Mercy show if he was “gone” following his loss to Roman Reigns and Cena was quick to deny retirement, but did issue some caveats.
“I just think my role is different. I said this at a podcast with Edge and Christian. I said the same thing. Regardless of if I have outside opportunities or not, I’m 40-years old. ”
He then explained that he’s not in a place to be running the same way he has in WWE for 15 years and he’s not certain of how much longer he can keep it up.
“If I had opportunities outside, great. If not, I think I gotta know when to say when at that point.”
