John Cena says he'd love to fill the empty seat on Live with Kelly ... but if producers offered him the job, the 15 time champ claims he'd pull double duty and continue working for WWE.

Cena spoke with Extra while prepping for the ESPY Awards -- which he's hosting tomorrow -- and made one thing clear when the topic of his future in Hollywood was brought up.

“I don’t plan on leaving the WWE ever."

The 39 year-old added," They’re in 180 countries, they have 650 million homes they reach each week, they have over half a billion social followers … why in the name of whatever we believe in would I shut that off? They have such a powerful voice, such an excited fan base, and I actually love doing it.”

As for the "Live" gig ... Cena explained, "I would absolutely take it — I would take it in a heartbeat … I would be the first guy to be able to host in the morning and go fight at night.”
