While promoting his latest movie, John Cena says he’s felt the desire to turn heel in WWE … even though it’ll probably never happen.
Cena made the comments during a wide-ranging interview promoting Bumblebee with Miami-based reporter Chris Val Vliet.
“There are creative feelings inside me that would like to be a bad guy on WWE but that ain’t gonna happen because that’s not my job. My job is to be who I am and that comes from (Vince).”
Cena also admitted that he’s become exactly what he lobbied against during his feuds with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson — a part-timer.
“For any WWE person to say right now that you’re a part timer and you’re going to Hollywood, they’re absolutely right,” Cena said. “And if they can’t see why I’m making those moves, I don’t expect them to, I don’t expect to change their minds.”
While we won’t expect to see “Bad Guy” Cena when he eventually returns to WWE television, we can expect a different change. The 16-time champ says he plans to bring his new haircut with him to RAW. For those wondering, John says he made the transformation in an effort to land more movie roles.
“It’s going to look weird man. I don’t even know if I can wear a cap,” Cena noted. “People are like ‘no it can’t happen!’, well it’s going to happen you’ll see.”
Cena also talks about his upcoming live events with WWE and Roman Reigns battling leukemia.
