Less than two weeks removed from the tragic death of his wife ... Jim Ross made his triumphant return to WWE's commentary table to call the main event match at WrestleMania 33.

We first broke the story over the weekend that JR would be calling a match and it was made official on Sunday when he came to the ring for commentary during Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns.

As we previously reported, Jan Ross passed away on March 22nd after being in a motor vehicle accident several days prior ... and following the event Jim tweeted, "I know Jan was watching."

According to Fox Sports, the announcer has signed a two-year deal with WWE. He explains,“It has a specific number of dates that I’m obligated to work, which I think is good for me."

Welcome back, JR.
