Jon Moxley became the number one contender to the AEW World title this week earning him a match against Chris Jericho at Revolution.

Moxley went one-on-one with PAC on Dynamite this week in the main event to finalize the number one contender to Jericho’s title.

Despite only having one good eye, which PAC focused on at many points in the match, Moxley was able to get the pinfall victory after hitting the Paradigm Shift on his opponent.

The fact that Moxley will challenge for the title should come as no surprise, since the two wrestlers have been embroiled in a feud for the past few weeks. In case you forgot, Mox turned down an offer to be part of Inner Circle and it led to Jericho spiking him in the eye.

“Le Champion” was on commentary for Moxley’s win and afterward simply said, “I’m gonna finish what I started at Revolution. Moxley, you should’ve given up when you had the chance.”

Jim Ross ended the show stating, “I can’t wait to see it and call it. Jericho, Moxley, Revolution.”

AEW Revolution takes place on February 29 in Chicago, Illinois.
