WWE and independent wrestling star WALTER have reportedly come to terms on a deal.

According to PWInsider, the Austrian behemoth will be joining NXT's UK brand.

WALTER, who is currently based in Germany, regularly wrestles for top European promotions such as Progress and wXw. He was also PWG champion but recently dropped the title to Jeff Cobb.

The 31-year-old shut-down talk of a potential move stateside in a chat last month with "Stone Cold" on The Steve Austin Show. "America is not for me," WALTER replied when Austin asked him if he's ever considered moving to the United States.

"I like the German-Austrian way of living," he added. "My base will always be Germany."

This wouldn't rule out an NXT UK signing though. WWE reportedly offered new deals to NXT UK talent over the weekend which only allows them to wrestle for WWE-affiliated indies such as WALTER's home promotion wXw.

We've made attempts to confirm WALTER's signing, but so far haven't had substantial confirmation. Sources tell us, however, that his impending WWE signing was the reason PWG officials had him drop the title to Cobb.

As you may recall, the 31-year-old wrestler has denied being offered a WWE contract in the past. We'll update you if he makes any public statement on the reported signing.
