Months after his release from WWE, Heath Slater appeared on Raw this evening to challenge Drew McIntyre to a match.

The show began with McIntyre in the ring calling out Dolph Ziggler to announce which stipulation they'll be having at Extreme Rules.

Dolph came out and talked about Drew stabbing people in the back/forgetting about them on his path to becoming WWE Champion. He also said he brought someone with him who felt the same way, which brought Heath Slater to the stage.

Slater came out wearing a free agent shirt and entered the ring beside Dolph. He then talked about their history and how Drew is now "The Chosen One" like he had been dubbed in the past.

Heath talked about how he cried after Drew beat Brock for the title at WrestleMania in April.

Slater said that after Drew got released back in the day, he checked in with McIntyre every day to make sure he was ok. "Where were you for me," he asked, referring to his own release in April. Slater said the last time they spoke was on "The Bump."

"I was there for you, and you weren't there for me," he added.

Slater then referenced being on the unemployment line and how this is probably his last opportunity, so he's going to take it. "I want you to give me what I deserve. I want you to give me what I deserve. What you as a friend promised me," he said.

Drew said he didn't want to fight, so Heath pushed him. Drew asked Heath to please not push him, so Slater instead slapped him. Drew then accepted the challenge and they wrestled a match after the commercial break that didn't last long.

Dolph got in Heath's face after and the two began to brawl. McIntyre returned to the ring and ran Ziggler off. Heath began to cry in the ring and Drew lifted him up to embrace his former tag partner.

It's unclear if Slater will be working with WWE anymore going forward or if he was just used while technically still under contract with WWE until July 18th.
