WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg has put Roman Reigns on notice by issuing some words of warning to the Universal Champion.
It all went down on the latest edition of The Bump, on which Goldberg was appearing as a guest.
“He backed out on me at WrestleMania. He stole my move, God knows how long ago. And he continues to perform at subpar level,” the Hall of Famer said in response to a question about whether or not he has unfinished business with Roman.
“Let’s be perfectly honest, I’m the dude who delivers the Spear and I don’t think that he understands what it’s like until I deliver one to him. So Roman, it’s coming and I’m coming for you. I may be old, I may be grey, but I’m still Goldberg,” he added.
Goldberg’s last match occurred at WrestleMania earlier this year when he lost the Universal Championship to Braun Strowman. He was originally scheduled to face Roman that night, but the Leukemia-beating “Tribal Chief” had to pull out due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Back in August, Goldberg revealed that he was contracted with WWE until 2023 during an appearance on The Pop Culture Show:
“I am contracted with the WWE for the next two years through 2022, ’23. I’ve got two matches per year. I’ve exhausted my limit this year quite early on April the fifth with WrestleMania under these really weird circumstances. But I’ve got a couple other extremely interesting projects right on the cusp, but as you guys know in the entertainment business right now everything’s on hold unless it’s a production of 10 or under pretty much. We got a lot of cool things that people are going to find out about pretty soon. My WWE commitment is still going strong. At 53, I never would’ve imagined especially after making fun of Flair when he was doing it in his early 40s.”
