Today is Flip Gordon's final day in the Army and the ROH wrestler reflected on it via social media.

Flip made the announcement via Twitter, writing:

Today is very bitter sweet....Today... I say goodbye to the Army. I thought it would be easy to say goodbye until I took a step back and realized just how much the Army has helped me grow over the past 6 years. I enlisted with my best friend at the age of 20 and it was the best decision I ever made. The Army taught me so many things from how to operate heavy equipment, to blowing shit up, to leading troops into battle. It taught me how things don't always go according to plan so you have to be able to think fast and adjust on the fly. It taught me patience, I mean the army's motto is practically "Hurry up and wait". It taught me how to appreciate the little things, like getting hot chow instead of an MRE. It also taught me how to be thankful because the Army literally went out of their way to work with me so I could chase my dreams and for that I will forever be thankful. The Army made me the man I am today and I'm very grateful for all the opportunities it has given me.

Gordon, who regularly appears on Being the Elite, recently told Cageside Seats that he plans to work full-time in wrestling once his military duties were over with.
