After a Falls Count Anywhere match at Crown Jewel that could not be stopped for any reason, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt defeated Seth Rollins to become Universal Champion.

It all went down in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Thursday in the main event of the show.

The end of the match saw Rollins hit a bunch of superkicks on Wyatt, with one of them knocking his opponent off the stage onto an exploding prop. When Seth went down below to cover him, the area exploded once again. “The Fiend” then popped out, locked in the Mandible claw and hit the Sister Abigail to win the Universal Championship.

As you’ll recall, Rollins and Wyatt faced-off at Hell in a Cell for the Universal Championship and the match ended due to referee stoppage. The finish of the match was not well-received and fans in attendance were very vocal about their displeasure.

Now that Bray Wyatt is champion, this means the WWE Championship and Universal Championship are both currently held by SmackDown wrestlers.
