It's official! The legendary announcer/booker/producer/on screen authority figure Eric Bischoff is about to become a WWE Hall of Famer.

The news was revealed to Bischoff while he was appearing as a guest on the After The Bell podcast. WWE later confirmed Bischoff's induction on its website.

"Eric Bischoff, a pioneer behind the scenes in sports-entertainment, as well as an incredibly entertaining performer in front of the camera, is the latest inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2021," the company said in its announcement.

Bischoff's most recent stint with WWE came in 2019 when he was hired as a Executive Director of SmackDown. He was removed from the position soon after, and parted ways with the company once again.

As you might recall, Bischoff made his first appearance on TNT in twenty years back in August during AEW Dynamite, but he later clarified that it was nothing more than a cameo.

Bischoff joins fellow WWE legend Molly Holly in the Hall of Fame class of 2021.
