Emma Has Been Released From WWE

emma released wwe

WWE just announced that Emma has been released from her contract.

The company put out a statement saying, “WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Superstar Emma. WWE wishes Emma the best in all of her future endeavors.”

The 28-year-old, whose real name is Tenille Dashwood, had a rough stint in WWE. After a successful run in NXT, she was brought to the main roster and paired with Santino Marella. A year later she was sent back to NXT and debuted her Evil version of the character.

Emma returned to the main roster in 2016 but failed to get much of a push. She was supposed to debut a new character earlier this year named Emmalina, but plans were scrapped.

She last wrestled Asuka on Monday Night Raw this week and lost.

It’s unclear what led to her release.

  1. Releasing your best female talent usually is not a good idea. I’m wondering if she asked for it knowing she wouldn’t on the Survivor Series team.

it doesn’t look like she asked for it, as she said she was heartbroken on twitter.

this is a blessing in disguise cause now, she’ll return to the Indys and might get better pay there then they did before joining WWE and better pay then WWE period. also i’m sure the Joshi scene’s already dreaming up the possible dream matches with the stars of the top Joshi promotions.

WWE pretty much screwed her character up several times and they did their best to “Bury her” in her final run in the main roster on Raw the past few months after she try to get herself over with her #GiveEmmaAChance hashtag on twitter which might had pissed off Vince who hates talent getting over on their own, WWE’s lost is the Japanese Joshi, ROH and Impact Wrestling, the Indys and Lucha Underground’s (if they get a 4th season) gain.

Good for her. I bet she asked for her release now she can go out on the indies, land at Impact/TNA/GWF/WhateverTheyCallItNow or ROH, Japan and be in the spotlight where she should have been. They never did anything with her on the main roster besides job her out to everyone. She’ll be just fine outside of the WWE.
