Fresh off of his Royal Rumble victory last week, "The Rated-R Superstar" Edge will appear on WWE's black and gold brand!

It began on Tuesday when the WWE Hall of Famer took to Twitter to make an enticing proclamation.

"In Orlando to visit my wife. Then I had a thought, [NXT] needs to get [Rated-R]," he wrote.

Edge's appearance on the upcoming edition of NXT on USA Network was confirmed by WWE soon after.

As the winner of the Royal Rumble match, Edge is eligible to challenge for the main title of any WWE brand ... including NXT!

Could we see Edge vs. Finn Balor for the NXT Championship at WrestleMania?

As you’ll no doubt recall, it was at last year’s Royal Rumble match that Edge returned to in-ring action after a nine year absence.

In the 2020 Rumble match, Edge turned on his former Rated RKO partner and tossed him out of the ring. The pair would go on to have a last man standing match at WrestleMania 36, before taking art in  “the greatest wresting match ever” at Backlash the following month.

2021 was Edge’s second Royal Rumble win, his first was in 2010.
